Your benefits are a big part of your total rewards. PetSmart is committed to offering associates a competitive and valuable benefits package. In this section, you will learn more about what benefits and offerings you are eligible for based on your part-time status.

As a part-time associate, you must average 30 hours or more over a 12-month look-back period, as defined by the federal health care law, also called the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This look-back period is evaluated every fall and/or after you have completed one year of service. 

Part-time associates that are eligible for medical coverage will be contacted by the PetSmart Benefits Team regarding your enrollment window. Take time to consider your needs for the coming year and use the tools and resources described below to help make the right choice for you and your family.

Full-time associates enrolled in benefits who have a status change to part-time will keep medical coverage through December 31st of that year. Dental and vision coverage will be dropped the date of the status change. If the status change from full-time to part-time takes place after October 15, medical coverage will remain in place through December 31 of the following year. To drop medical coverage when moving from full-time to part-time, contact the PetSmart Benefits Center at 1-888-481-0101.

When enrolled in the medical plan you are also enrolled in the prescription drug program and have access to other health programs based on the plan you elect.
